Great job from my initial call to the owner to the time the movers pulled away when finished. Everything we agreed upon was fulfilled and done with care and efficiency.

- Arrived on time (actually slightly early so they could set up and start moving at the agreed start time).

- The guys were polite, very careful with our items and placed things where we asked.

- The owner checked in with me a few times throughout the day to make sure I was satisfied and informed. That is a rare thing!

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $325

If you are considering using Lucido's for your moving needs, CALL ANOTHER COMPANY. I should have seen all the warning signs, but hindsight is always 20/20. I first contacted this company on April 26,2016 to get an estimate for my upcoming move in July. I spoke with Steve, and he informed me that they only did flat rates and he would need to send someone out to my house to submit a bid.

After a couple weeks went by and I had not heard anything, I called Steve again. He explained that he was not sure why Rob (Estimator/Mover) had not set anything up yet. However, he would call and remind him. He did and Rob came out to my home.

When Rob came to my home, he walked through EVERY room. He saw everything that was going. We walked through the garage and even outside. Within a half hour of leaving my home, he submitted his flat rate bid. (see attached). I called and scheduled the move. (the bid was for 3 men). However, the payment had to be in cash. No credit cards, no checks, ONLY CASH. Weird but fine.

Moving day gets here and only 2 guys show up in an 18 foot truck. Almost immediately, Rob starts making comments on how he under bid this job and that I was getting such a great deal. After getting the first load on the truck, and over to the new house, Rob now started making comments about how his boss just told him he had a job scheduled after mine. I did not think much about it until they were almost done loading the second load. It was at this time that I was informed that they were not going to be able to fit the rest of my belongings in the second truck. I was also told that whatever they could not fit was my problem to worry about as they were not going to make a third trip.

I could not believe what I was hearing. I attempted to call Steve and my calls went unanswered and or ignored. It was at this point that I realized that the did not have me sign any paperwork and they insisted on cash. I told Rob that I was not giving him any payment without a receipt. He got belligerent and told me that he would just take the truck with all my stuff. It was only after I told him that I would call the police, that Steve finally contacted me. Steve told me that he would email me a receipt and that the guys would unload the truck and the move was over. He stated that he felt I got a good deal and the guys had to go do another job to do. He had no concern that they were leaving without my job being completed.

When unloading the truck the second time, they showed no regard for my belongings. Wardrobe boxes were upside down, boxes marked fragile had items stacked on top of them. Scratches on the furniture. Etc..

My wife and I hired movers so we would not have to do anything. That was not the case with this company. We have had to hire another company to finish the job that lucidos started. Hopefully this nightmare will soon be over. We have yet to hear back about the damages that occurred.

I can not urge you enough find another company. The lack of professionalism from the top to the bottom is undeniable.

Yesterday was great! Lucido's Discount Moving proved to be true to their word and advertising. I had a horrible experience with a moving company several years ago. I ended up with broken items, a 28 hour move (Troy to Auburn Hills) & paid 4x the original quote. Ugh! LUCIDO'S IS THE BEST!! On time. No extra charges. From start to finish: 5 hours. Nothing broken. The guys even helped with a few extra chores. Everyone was polite, professional. They are very hard workers. Next time I move, Lucido's will be called.

THIS was the worst moving company I ever used in life, the company came in the moring as scheduled. They look at my things an said where leaving to get a bigger truck. So I am thonking they are coming back so I'm getting things together they send me a text an said sorry they can't move. That was so unprofession a text. So mind you its my moving day an most companies nd to knor abt a move ahead of time an a lot of companies wr book. So this company put me in a tight situation, but I luck up an found a company to move me at the last min. I wouldn't wish what happen to me on anybody. Stay away very unprofessional, never will I go on Craig list for a moving company, after all that the man didn't pick up or respond to text. Someones probably would of hurt the doing that type a stuff. Because I was pass pissed,so to save wht I went thru go to a real company that's with the BBB.u may hv to pay more but its worth it.

I booked Lucido's to move my house on the 13th of October. I had used them once before and had a good experience so I was willing to use them again. However, they caused an unbelievable amount of damage to our basement steps and floors at the end of the day. We didn't notice right away because we were packing other things at the same time but when we went back to the house the next day to pack more, we realized what they actually did. My husband and I reached out to Steve, the owner, about it and he deferred us to Joe, which was one of the guys that moved us. He came over, took some pictures, and then left. Later that night I got a text from Steve saying that there is no way it could have been their fault because if it was, we would have noticed it on the day of and we wouldn't have paid them and tipped them. He also said that it must have been caused by something we did after they left but they moved out all of the big heavy things that could have done that, so his comment makes no sense. He also would have no clue what was left over because he wasn't there to see it. Had I noticed it immediately, I would have said something but I also assumed that they would have come forward if they messed something up. I didn't realize I had to babysit two grown men. My issue isn't so much that they caused damage; it's that they tried to hide it and now deny it.They also moved incredibly slow throughout the whole day. It definitely should not have taken as long as it did. However, I would have been willing to over look that if they hadn't caused all of the damage.

I should also add that when I tried to discuss this all with Steve he responded as if he were actually there on the day of the move. He claimed that we hired other movers after the fact to move our appliances (which did not happen - the appliances stayed at the house) and that we had a "watchful eye" on his two guys (also not true. though I wish it was so we could have caught it) but we were actually in another room packing up. He also claimed that because we waited so long to reach out, it must not have been them because otherwise we would have noticed it sooner. First of all, this is a lame argument on his part but even still, I explained to him that we did not go back to the house until the next day so we didn't have a chance to see it. However, when I did go back the next day, I absolutely did see it. However, I wanted my husband to also see it before I did anything and it took a couple days for him to make it over there, hence our delay in reaching out to Lucido's. Had I known I had to supervise and inspect our house prior to leaving, I would have. But I didn't think that was necessary with what was supposed to be a reputable company.

I'm sure Steve will respond and try to poke holes in my complaint but let's be honest, would I really waste my time with this if it weren't true? I'm already busy enough unpacking and getting settled in a new house. The only reason I'm using my valuable time for this is because it's 100% true and I want to prevent anyone else from making the same mistake.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $700

I found Lucido's on craigslist and was skeptical at first because of craigslist, but they have now helped me move numerous times and I have referred them to family and friends.  They have also moved my sister a couple of times.  I will always use Lucido's in the future.  They are professional, friendly, prompt, careful with your items, and helpful.  I have never had anything damaged.  They are wonderful about putting things where you want them in your new place and helping set up the bed.  They are honest and dependable.  They stay in contact with you and let you know what is happening. You won't find a better moving service, with reasonable rates that you can count on, than Lucido's Discount Moving. .

I had a great experience with this company March 10. 2014. They showed up at the arranged time and completed the move in less time than I expected.  They moved a full 3 bedroom house in just a few hours and even loaded a few extra items my wife wanted moved. At the new house they had to remove a door to fit my furniture through the doorway and did so with no damage to the door or any walls.  My wife had some jewelry that had fallen behind a dresser and the movers brought it right to me. They did an excellent job and I recommend them without hesitation.  Fast, courteous, honest and professional.

After a bad experience with a moving company names Beast Movers, I found Lucido's Discount Moving.  I was a little suspect due to my experience with Beast Movers, but Steve Lucido assured me that they would handle my office move.  We set a date and time and the move went smoothly and best of all, professionally.  Steve sent John and Brad to move my office furniture from Troy to Royal Oak.  John was in constant contact with me to let me know the progress of the move.  John and Brad made sure my furniture was protected and they did the job quickly and professionally.  I would gladly recommend Lucido's Discount Moving.

I had a move scheduled for today and the movers were not only on time but called me a half hour before just to ensure that everything was scheduled as expected. The staff was super friendly and extremely nice to my 7 and 8 year old boys. The move out of my apartment flowed smoothly and the movers arrived about 10-15 minutes after we did.
I moved from a larger apartment to an older home so my couch wouldn't fit through the door. A very kind and determined gentleman who has been moving furniture for 28+ years saw my anguish about the difficulty with my sofa. Thank goodness the staff continued to think things through and before I knew it a new plan was hitched! Before I knew it my sofa was in the living room and it was Christmas in March!
I recommend this moving company to anyone looking to move. Their super friendly, efficient and affordable!

Professional, prompt, pleasant to work with, fixed price and moved everything we prepared to move. Nothing damaged and moved some really big items. They kept a bright attitude even though we suffered through a 8-10inch snow fall. These guys are great! I've moved many times and I highly recommend their services. They're a no frills, down to earth crew that give you your money's worth. I'm a real customer and not a paid review like you sometimes get on Amazon.

Rob ran over a neighbors shrub and tried to act like it wasn't a big deal. They hid branches in the cab of their truck so we wouldn't know how bad the damage was. Rob then used profanity and told us the main reason the person was upset was because the neighbor was black. I spoke with the neighbor and he was very reasonable. Rob didn't finish assembling the bed and I paid them extra money above the estimate so they could make the neighbor whole on his shrub which they destroyed. Rob did not pay the neighbor the extra money but I just found out today he kept it. The two workers with Rob were awesome but Rob shared several very racist views with us and made sure we knew he was supporting Trump. My daughter is black and if he had been doing any of the moving, instead of talking, he might have noticed the pictures and perhaps would have kept his views to himself. We really just wanted Rob to leave our home as it was a very upsetting experience.
